Wed. December 6th, at 7:00 pm is the school board meeting to discuss Transportation with the community. Please make a good turn out for this meeting! It is at the District Office on Haven Ave. Transportation and public comments are both on the agenda. Thank you for supporting NL122 Bus Drivers!

You want to come to this meeting- the letter sent out to parents was NOT COMPLETE. You need ALL the information on this issue!

The drivers proposal is now posted on the district web site. You can tell by the numbers Dr. Sass talked about at the meeting that they are thinking about proposal 2 from the drivers. I also found out at the meeting that the drivers proposal is for one year because that is all the district asked for. The L-W proposal lasts 3 years, but after the first year, they have no idea if it will save any money at all! The other interesting thing I found out by attending the meeting is that the drivers HAVE A PLAN for years two and three. Another interesting note: Summit Hill in Frankfort NEVER operated their own school buses, they had a private company before L-W. The board will vote about this proposal at a special session next Wed. December 13. I think we should all turn out to watch the vote. I know for me, it makes more sense to save $184,000 than $100,000!

Who thinks your school board will spend money tonight instead of save it? For those of you that might be interested in watching, the special meeting to vote is at 6:55pm tonight, not 7:00pm, the usual starting time. I wonder why?
